How To Draw A Leprechaun
This colorful drawing of a leprechaun and his lucky hat is fabricated easy with elementary supplies and a handy drawing guide.
Leprechuans are a type of fairy in Irish gaelic sociology and announced as niggling men with a red beard, a green coat and chapeau. They similar to spend time alone, mending shoes and making mischief. They have a hidden pot of gold at the end of rainbows.
This project requires about 50 minutes and is a bully fashion to celebrate St. Patrick'due south Day with your students.
Here's What You'll Need:
– 12" x 18" light-green sulphite cartoon paper (I use Tru-Ray brand) for the leprechaun
– 12" x 18" colored paper for background (optional)
– Blackness oil pastel
– Colored chalk pastels (also known as soft pastels)
– Scissors and glue
– half-dozen" 10 four" scraps of glitter paper, colored paper and/or painted paper.

Cartoon the Leprechaun:

Fold the greenish sail of paper in half. Open upwards to reveal a crease.
Below the crease line, draw a large "U" shape. This is the face. Add together a beard along the contour line of the face. Make the edges of the beard bumpy.
Add together two ears. The top of the ear can extend above the crease line of the paper.
Between the 2 ears, describe a wavy line for the bottom skirt of the hat.
Place oil pastel beneath ears and draw a curved line up and around to the other side, creating the brim of the hat.
Add the top part of the hat with iii lines.
Add two eyes, a small curved line for the nose and a wide oral cavity.
Add a buckle and strap for the lid.
Coloring the Leprechaun
Using colored chalk, select a pare tone color and color the confront. Feel free to colour over the nose and oral cavity. You can trace over the lines over again with a black oil pastel.
Color the beard using orangish and brown pastel. Blend with fingers.
Color the chapeau adjacent. Children can decide what colors they would like to employ. They tin select a rainbow assortment or stick to like-colors. The options are endless and this is a fun style for every child to brand their hats unique.
Color the strap and buckle.
Trace over all of the oil pastel lines once again so the colors really pop.
Make a 4-Foliage Clover or a Shamrock:
Utilise glitter paper, painted newspaper, craft newspaper or regular colored newspaper to create shamrocks.
Fold the 6" 10 iv" paper scraps in one-half (not necessary to measure) , describe a heart shape. Cut out and echo until you have four "hearts".
Gum shamrock onto chapeau. Add together a newspaper circumvolve for the eye.
To finish the project, cutting out leprechaun and glue to a colored paper. This footstep is optional as you tin can cutting out leprechaun or leave on original paper.
